Marsh Creek Clean-up:
Thank you to the volunteers!
Thank you to the nearly 175 volunteers who braved the cold to come take part in this very important annual environmental clean-up. What a fun day for everyone. We all got a little dirty and after several hours of pulling garbage from the Marsh Creek, we got a little sore too. But how rewarding it was to see the ducks land in this area that is once again free from the garbage that builds up each year.
This was Canaport LNG’s first year to take part in this annual event so we’re the newcomers. So we applaud all those who faithfully come out each year to participate in this great effort. We had a great time promoting this event and seeing just how much of an impact a few can have to help our environment. So thank you to all the volunteers including the first timers from Canaport LNG, Irving Oil, Repsol YPF and SNC-Lavalin.
Also, thank you to both Tim Vickers (ACAP) and Gordon Dalzell (Clean Air Coalition) for suggesting we get behind this project.
For those who missed the clean up this year, remember there is always next year.
