Onshore, the construction of temporary installations, such as office buildings and material staging areas, has been completed. The foundations for the construction of the LNG tanks and pipelines have also been erected. Preparations for the summer construction season, when the peak of construction is expected, are almost finished.

Offshore jetty construction is nearing completion. The final pieces, called “jackets,” are currently being fabricated in Newfoundland. The installation of the jackets will commence as early as April 2007 and complete by October 2007. With favorable conditions, offshore is expected to be complete this year, by the start of the fourth quarter.

At springtime, the number of contractors and employees working on site will begin to increase. During the peak period of June and July, there will be as many as 700 people helping to install materials and construct the LNG tanks.
